The facility is situated between beachfront hotels and the cities central business district. South Africa’s first purpose built Convention Centre offers raked Auditoria seating of 1,800 and flat floor seating of 5000. The countries first purpose built indoor Arena offers fixed tiered seating of 2,400, flat floor seating for 5,200 and a standing capacity of 7,500. Together the Convention Centre and Arena cover an area of 18 000m² / 193 750ft² and through the use of operable walls, can be subdivided into over 40 configurations to suit any event requirement. Together with the adjacent Exhibition Centre, 33,000m²/355,209ft² of flat floor space is available, making it the largest convention complex in the country.
